Some are original works inspired by my experiences as a Colombian immigrant in the United States, while others bring to life the myths, legends, and folktales of Latin America that continue to shape my artistic voice.

Journey into a land where the world begins with a solitary spirit, gold holds meanings far richer than treasure, and a lovestruck man discovers that chasing the wrong woman can have some rather unexpected consequences.
In Colombia Mía, Colombian storyteller Carolina Quiroga weaves together traditional tales of creation, transformation, love, and wonder, from the ancient world of Serankwa and the sacred traditions behind El Dorado to the mischievous magic of El Hombre Caimán.
Rooted in Colombia’s diverse storytelling traditions, Colombia Mía is a journey through a country where history and myth mingle, the extraordinary is never far away, and stories carry the voices of the people and places that have told them for generations.

Cultured Shocked is my original solo storytelling show about arriving in the United States convinced I was prepared and discovering that I wasn’t.
From landing in Tennessee and not understanding Southern English to navigating what happens to your name, identity, and traditions when cultures collide, I explore the funny, confusing, and sometimes tender realities of building a life in the American South.
Along the way, even something as simple as a Southern biscuit becomes part of a much bigger journey: learning when to adapt, what to hold onto, and how unexpected relationships can change the way we see a culture and our place within it.
Blending humor, personal storytelling, and cultural observation, Cultured Shocked looks at what happens when fitting in isn’t quite the goal. Sometimes, the challenge is figuring out how to belong without giving yourself away.

You Speak Very Good English! is a solo performance blending poetry, storytelling, and humor to explore misunderstandings, false cognates, expressions taken far too literally, and missing cultural clues that can turn an ordinary conversation into a wonderfully confusing encounter.
But language never stands still. It shifts with culture, generations, technology, social media, and even the way we communicate through a screen. And as language changes, so do we.
Funny, thoughtful, and linguistically curious, You Speak Very Good English! is a reflection on our relationship with language, what we inherit, what we hold onto, what gets lost in translation, and what can happen when we allow ourselves to evolve along with the words we speak.
